The participant must be pregnant or have a newborn under 15 months old. Eligibility is based on need. All pregnant teens are automatically eligible.
The participant must fill out a registration form. Forms can be found at many locations:

Walk ins will be accepted. One copy stays with her referral and the other copy must be brought in to Open Arms. A point book will be given to the participant at that time.
Fifty points will be given just for enrolling in the program. At this time, the participant will be able to view the store and determine what items she is going to work toward. Other points activities include:
Medicaid Sign Up
Health Care Provider Visits (Initial visit, Each prenatal visit)
After Birth Visits (Well Baby, Well Mom)
Immunizations
Postnatal Activities (Breastfeeding, Family planning)
Healthy Activities (Dental visits, No drugs, alcohol, tobacco)
Referring A Friend
Reading With Baby (Visit Story Hour at the Library)
Volunteering on a committee for Open Arms
Records of the participant's appointments, classes and any other point-earning activity will be noted in the point book. Participating agencies will validate each activity with a stamp and their initials. If the point book is lost, it will be replaced only once. The points from the lost book will NOT be counted.
The participant may trade for Boutique items when enough points have been accumulated. She will keep the point book until ready to select items, then points will be traded in at the Boutique.
The participant may continue until her child is 15 months old.
